Leaving the sunny beaches of Hawaii, the ChiefCowEater headed east to Washington, DC. As is my custom, I always visit at least one of Don Shula's steak houses when I am in the Washington DC/Northern VA area. This trip I was staying in downtown DC at the JW Marriott Hotel, so I opted to visit the Shula's located in the Wyndham City Center Hotel. This will not be a detailed review, as there are other Shula's reviews here on DeadCowSociety. I will just mention the highlights. I began a relaxing evening with a nice glass of Maker's Mark bourbon. It is always nice to start the evening with shot (or two!) of classic American sipping whisky. When I was sufficiently "relaxed", I ordered their Beefsteak Tomatoes and Gorgonzola Salad, followed by the 16-oz New York Strip and baked potato. As always, the Dead Cow was cooked to perfection. And the salad and potato wonderful. If you are ever in a location where there is a Don Shula's, treat yourself to a fine dining experience. ALL RATINGS FOR SHULA'S WASHINGTON DC STEAK HOUSE
